Paid Search

Paid search, or sponsored search, refers to pay per click advertising. It’s all about pay per click ads (PPC ads), also known as sponsored links or sponsored results.

PPC ads are short text ads linked to advertisers’ web sites. These appear on Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs) on the top of and to the right of the organic search results.

Paid search is a good way to achieve high ranking in search results for any search term almost immediately. Advertisers simply buy ad space on search engines. To get placement in the paid search results advertisers bid on relevant keywords chosen for their ads and when these keywords are searched the paid ads are displayed on SERPs. Every time an Internet user clicks on a paid ad, the advertiser pays the search engine for that click.
